Working together

I’ll be upfront. I don’t run messaging workshops, and I don’t hand back templates. AI can fill out a positioning canvas before lunch now, and it’ll look about as good as anything a consultant produces. The template was never the hard part.

The hard part is knowing something true about your customers and making decisions based on it. At seed, that’s mostly about the product: does it solve a problem urgent enough to pay for, and for whom? So every engagement is also a learning loop. Each customer conversation tests the product’s fit and sharpens the message, and what we learn goes back to the product team, not just into the pitch.

That’s the work I do, with a few seed and Series A companies building security and technical products at a time. It usually centers on one decision that can’t wait: who to sell to, how to compete with the platform your buyers already own, how to price, or what your first salespeople carry into the room.

We start with evidence. Your customers, your call recordings, the deals you won, and the ones you lost and would rather not revisit. I’ll ask for access to all of it, and for thirty minutes of the founder’s time each week. Without that, positioning is just guesswork with good formatting.

Most companies start with a two-week GTM Diagnostic: conversations with you, your sales team and a few customers, a hard look at your site, deck and recent deals, and a prioritized 90-day plan. From there, the work takes one of three shapes. A few focused weeks on one decision. Ongoing support while your sales team forms. Or helping you hire your first full-time product marketer and handing everything over. Honestly, that last one is the best outcome.

Before we start, you’ll get a short written scope: the decision, what you’ll have at the end, how long it takes, the hours involved and the price. Typical ranges are on the pricing page.

I don’t do demand gen, design or PR, but I know good people who do.
